Hello Mattias Tysk, what made you interested in the role as our new CTO/Chief Technology Officer?
– About three years ago, I moved with my wife and children up to Ljusdal from Stockholm. I quickly developed a strong sense of community from living in a smaller town and a desire to give back. So when Christian Jonsson and Mattias Blom reached out about a tech company based in Ljusdal with almost unreasonably high ambitions, I simply had to give it a try. The challenge and ambitions align perfectly with my personal goals and growth areas. Now I hope to grow myself while helping to elevate Byggdagboken.
What have you done previously in your career?
– IT and technology have always been a passion of mine. At the same time, I love working with people, so it was natural to pursue assignments that combine these. For the past 7-9 years, I have worked as a technical leader with personnel responsibility within FinTech, banking, and media streaming, overseeing systems with extremely large user bases. Much of the focus has been on helping developers and development teams grow while building scalable, efficient, and sustainable solutions for our users.
What can our customers and users expect now that you are joining our development team?
– Initially, they can expect me to learn a great deal. This is a new industry for me with many unique ways of working. Over time, I will understand where we are and how we got here, so that I can later drive change forward. I want to build an organization that can be trusted for quality, competence, and speed.
Thank you, Mattias. All that remains is to warmly welcome you to Byggdagboken!
– Thank you, this is going to be really fun and exciting!
