MJ Construction case study

MJ Construction AB is run by two creative brothers who, throughout their upbringing, shared the vision of running a construction company together. After building a solid foundation over the years, they took the leap and became entrepreneurs.

Hi Jerry, can you tell us a bit about your upcoming project and what makes it special?
– We have been entrusted with erecting the frame for a unique villa on Lidingö. In many ways, it is a spectacular house, and we have been involved throughout the entire process, from structural design to manufacturing. We are now entering the phase where we will erect the house on-site. It will take approximately three weeks from the time we start assembling the frame until it is finished. The house consists of three levels, made of prefabricated concrete and steel elements, which are delivered ready-made by truck and lifted into place with a mobile crane. After the frame assembly, our carpenters will continue with internal and external structural completions for about six months. We are pleased to be part of this project and to contribute value to our customer.


How are you using Byggdagboken in this construction project?
– In this project, we will use Byggdagboken in several ways, from time reporting, daily logs, and self-monitoring to finances. – Otherwise, the problem often lies in the fact that working across several different systems is a process that can complicate things unnecessarily. Many companies use different systems to handle project management—i.e., one program for finances, one for time reporting, one for self-monitoring, etc. It easily becomes cumbersome to actually perform everything across multiple platforms. Do you have any tips for others considering digitizing their administration?
– We feel that we free up more time and create more value for our customers and our employees by automating documentation where possible, as well as simplifying it. Our business is about creating satisfied customers, both in terms of the results of what we build and in the form of documentation.
